On Monday 10th November 2014 Wren Arts & Entertainment, in collaboration with Cedar House residential care home (Rothley), had fun making their our own musical instruments using recycled material as part of The Last Post Project.
The participants explored the notion of rationing and the make do and mend ethos – ‘What can we do with this?’
To make great music you do not need to be a professional musician. There are no lessons needed, or long hours of practice. Not only can you make music, you can make your own musical instruments. Make a one-person-band or gather all your friends together and start your own band. One community, one voice!
Using these instruments we then played The Last Post to show our respect and to show that we will remember.
