Make Do & Mend Workshop in Loughborough

Make Do and Mend

Make Do and Mend

… and a Make Do & Mend Workshop at Loughborough Library as part of The Last Post Project to commemorate the Anniversary of Gallipoli from the 20th – 26th April 2015.

PLANNED EVENT – MAKE DO & MEND CRAFT WORKSHOP(S) & REMINISCENT ACTIVITY: MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS

With the workshop leader from Wren Arts & Entertainment (Dora Renshaw) the public (children and adults), in Loughborough, made their own musical instruments using recycled material as part of The Last Post Project. Photographs were taken as evidence and can be found on Wren Arts & Entertainment website (link provided).

The participants explored the notion of rationing and the make do and mend ethos – ‘What can we do with this?’

To make great music you do not need to be a professional musician. There are no lessons needed, or long hours of practice. Not only can you make music, you can make your own musical instruments. Make a one-person-band or gather all your friends together and start your own band. One community, one voice!
